Away from the hustle and bustle of the city in rural Illinois, life is not as complicated. Everyone knows one another and meet in our small town to do the shopping and get the news. 

From town just down the country road there is a knob called Dutch Ridge where my husband was born and raised. Our life together began in 1980 when we married and moved on Dutch Ridge to raise our two children.

Now Sunday is the day we all gather with our children and their children down that country road.

Having collected dolls for many years my interest moved to creating unique primitive handmade goods and began marketing my wares at retail shows and wholesale markets for the past 20 years.

I have made lots of good friends along my travels. My love for sewing has led me to bring my country style dolls to life while working together with friends in my kitchen. They are tea stained to look like they came from Grandma's attic with homespun fabric and accessories to give my dolls character and a special look.
